Plane with 108 passengers is airborne and headed to Central Florida
From orlandosentinel.com:
"About 80 workers from the Florida Department of Children and Families are at Orlando Sanford International Airport awaiting more arrivals from earthquake-devastated Haiti.
One military flight arrived this morning with three passengers onboard, according to Diane Crews, vice president of administration for the airport. The next flight, a Continental plane scheduled to arrive this afternoon, is expected to have 108 passengers on board.
People from the Red Cross are on hand with essentials such as food, while DCF workers are ready to help people with needs such as making travel arrangments or getting emergency cash.
"Whatever it is, we're ready," said a spokeswoman for DCF.
Additional flights are scheduled to arrive at the airport in Sanford into the evening, although those schedules are "very subject to change," Crews said."
